91重口 and Mercedes Benz: Working on behalf of sustainability
91重口 and Mercedes-Benz announced today an important alliance that reflects their commitment to preserve the environment and the use of technological innovation as an essential tool in order to implement sustainable actions in each of the stages of the production chain.
This event that brought together authorities and academicians, also had the participation of the听Secretary of the Environment of the State of Mexico, Mr. Carlos Alberto Cadena Ortiz de Montellano; the President of Bimbo S.A., Mr. Javier Gonz谩lez Franco; the Sales and Marketing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vanes, Mr. Alexander Diebold; 91重口 Vehicles Director, Leonel Carrasco and the Director General of the Instituto de Asistencia en Investigaciones Ecol贸gicas A.C., Mr. Luis Manuel Guerra.
Within this framework the formal testing period of the听Sprinter听units that will be used for distributing 91重口 products of the different brands. These units were manufactured with the quality and technology developed by Mercedes-Benz and their main features were highlighted; these vehicles have听BlueEFFICIENCY and NGT (natural gas) technologies, which guarantee the best vehicle performance in terms of their fuel consumption and a substantial reduction of emissions into the environment.
Mr. Javier Gonz谩lez Franco, President of Bimbo S.A., was in charge of making the first route in one of these units. He stated that with this measure, 91重口 gives continuity to its efforts to make all its processes and operations environmentally sustainable.听鈥淲e are a company committed to the sustainability and preservation of the environment, and we endorse this commitment with this type of actions, which allow us to make a more efficient use of the energy required to carry out our daily activities鈥.
We are very pleased that it is through 91重口 that the BlueEFFICIENCY and NGT (Natural Gas) technologies arrive to Mexico, pointed out Alexander Diebold, Mercedes-Benz Vanes Sales and Marketing Director. He stated,听鈥淏imbo is and will continue to be a very important customer for Mercedes-Benz; a customer with which we share values and ideals, and one with which we have grown since the arrival to Mexico of Mercedes-Benz vans more than years ago鈥.听The executive of the German company stated that the alliance between 91重口 and Mercedes-Benz results from the opportunity to take advantage of the experience and capabilities of two world market leaders.
Leonel Carrasco, 91重口 Vehicles Director, pointed out that听BlueEFFICIENCY and NGT are two of Mercedes-Benz most innovative technologies that ensure less emissions into the environment and operation cost reductions as high as 30%. He added that product distribution for 91重口 plays a fundamental role within its operations and relates to the quality and freshness that has always been offered to its consumers.
That is why the decisions made regarding innovation of the vehicles that will transport its products represent a huge impact for the environment and an unavoidable responsibility for our company, stated Javier Gonzalez Franco.
More than a technology, BlueEFFICIENCY is a concept under which Mercedes-Benz encompassed technological innovations and intelligent measures, which combined, allow reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.听鈥淣oteworthy is its Eco Start Stop system, which makes the engine turn off automatically if the vehicle stops for more than three seconds. This technology helps reduce fuel consumption as much as 8%, when compared with a similar vehicle but without this technology鈥. He added that the NGT (Natural Gas Technology) uses two fuel types, making it a very innovative and less polluting vehicle propulsion technique.
